Rediscover the great monuments of history that mark out the territory within the limits of the old ramparts of the medieval city, passing through Sainte-Croix with its magnificent façade remodeled in the students’ district and the Grosse Cloche. Admire the cathedral before making a small detour by the Palais Galien, last Gallo-Roman vestige of the city. Finally, the emblematic square of Bordeaux at the foot of the Three Graces.

At night, this walk is also very popular to discover our architectural treasures in their adornment of light.

This circuit on the slopes allows a spectacular view of the city and makes us discover the old villages nestled at the top of the hills between vegetable gardens and pastures offering a striking contrast with the hectic life that unfolds before our eyes. After climbing the small steep hill, we stroll on the hillside through the hanging gardens of the castles on the right bank to get to Lormont, a traditional holiday destination for the well-off, and relaxation for many Bordeaux residents who came by boat to spend the Sunday indulging in water games (swimming, boating) and the pleasures of dining and dancing.

Art nouveau – art déco

This walk knits its way to the confines of the city of the 19th century.

She goes around the suburbs with so different characters that hide treasures of Belle Époque and Art Deco architecture. Starting from the Bourse du Travail, a masterpiece of Art Deco architecture, we pass through shaded squares with monumental fountains and floral alleys reminiscent of villages, from the university city to the Art Deco district of Lescure Park. At the corner of the boulevard, we discover the opulent mansions of Petit Arcachon to end this journey in front of the romantic quadriga of the Quinconces.

City châteaux

A stone’s throw from the St-André cathedral, let yourself be guided in the middle of the most prestigious vineyards of the Graves which run their reign between cities and castles, and not least: from Haut-Brion to Pape Clément, through the discovery of the city Frugès designed by Le Corbusier (often called a madman for his avant-garde ideas), before returning to the Château Picon which is really home to the madmen!

Médoc

Discover the wine route by the path of schoolchildren along the Garonne, with its charming Chartreuses and illustrious castles between villages and vineyards.

This tour includes transport, a picnic, and a visit to a winery with tasting. The departure (and return) of this ride are by train. We start the visit in Ludon-Médoc to finish in Moulis. From castle to castle, we follow the river to cross the vineyards of Margaux before picnicking by the water near the port of Margaux. After an outside visit of the Château Margaux, we continue quietly our road to Maucaillou which houses the Wine Museum for a tour-tasting.

St Emilion

The transfer is by train (to Libourne) or van (to Saint Emilion). We go to discover the vineyard through the domain of the greatest wines and the most beautiful castles with remarkable architecture. We picnic near the river Barbanne before continuing our exploration on the slopes whose panorama extends as far as the eye can see to finish in the cobbled streets of the medieval city where a tasting awaits us.
