Discover the impressive historic monuments lining our way through the heart of Bordeaux within the medieval city wall.
We’ll start at Sainte-Croix church with its magnificent romanesque façade, then follow through the market and student’s quarter riding under the big Bell, by the cathedral with its elegant steeples and the old massive tours of the château de Hâ housing the law school, before making a small detour by the Palais Galien, antique remains of the gallo-roman circus, to end up at the feet of the three Graces on the emblematic Place de la Bourse. At night riding on a bike gives you the opportunity to appreciate the rich architecture clad in its twinkling night gown. And to better admire the magical spell of the illuminated bridge reflected in the river, we will cross the Pont de Pierre. This tour gives you an unusual insight of the bordelais life style and will enlighten you on the XVIIIth city of the Lights.

This trip winds its way along the borders of what is known as la petite banlieue (the little suburb) located within the medieval ramparts and the XIXth century tax belt where a great deal of architectural treasures lie hidden.This is an architectural promenade sampling some of the finest examples of the turn of the century ‘s villas and palaces. We start our tour with “la bourse du travail” The worker’s palace , and the majestic modern style fountain nestled in the shade of secular trees before exploring the Budos student residence and the art-déco district built by the stadium. We go back in time as we enter in Bordeaux’s wealthiest neighborhood where the streets are shrouded in lush greenery shrining up the gorgeous mansions of Little Arcachon. On our return we stop by the romantic ruins of a little known park, before heading back leasurely along the river banks.
